Vodka Gimlet

The Vodka Gimlet is a riff on the popular Gin Gimlet. It’s rumored to have gotten its name from a small tool for boring holes called a gimlet — perhaps for the drink’s piercing taste or effect? Others claim it dates back to an 18th century tonic given to sailors to prevent scurvy. Don’t even think about using fake lime juice here!

Prep Time

5 minutes
    • 2 oz American Liquor Co Vodka

    • .75 oz Fresh lime juice

    • .75 oz Simple syrup

    • Lime twist

  • Combine American Liquor Co Vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup in cocktail shaker with ice

Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds or until your fingers start feeling like January in Ann Arbor

Strain into a Rocks or Nick & Nora glass

    Garnish with a lime twist

Enjoy!
